The theme of our second week was exploration! Our new friends indulged my wine tasting passion with a day in Eger where we drank lots of vino in tasting rooms that were built into a giant hillside, and enjoyed some traditional snacks like onion bread!

After a short introduction to Scotland in Glasgow, we were picked up by our friend Chic and taken out to his farmhouse in Stirling. There, we met his hawk, falcon, and ferrets that he uses for hunting, celebrated Easter with him and his sons, and got an incredible tour of his gorgeous country. Thanks for such a great week, Chic!
We couldn't leave Ireland without learning how to pour the perfect pint at the Guinness Factory! We blew through Dublin for a second round before heading to Scotland!
When we arrived in Derry, Northern Ireland, we didn't know anything about The Troubles and Bloody Sunday. We enjoyed our time exploring Derry, meeting up with our friends Robert and Felicia at Giant's Causeway, and checking out Belfast!
