In 2012, when so many of my friends were taking off on elaborate vacations, I started daydreaming about traveling the world, about what it would be like to experience different cultures and hospitality styles around the globe, to eat exotic and mysterious foods, and the climb to the top of mountains in countries far away. Little did I know that my husband, Jake, and I would turn those daydreams into reality! I am excited to tell you about our trip around the world, as well as share stories of the next chapter in our adventure: getting jobs, buying our first house, and starting a family!

In my spare time, you can find me in a spinning class, hiking with Jake, horseback riding, or teaching friends how to drink what they like when it comes to wine.

Before our trip, I had not travelled much. Mexico, Canada, Belize, Bahamas and a fair amount of the United States are the only places I had been to. I never did study abroad. I never really had a deep desire to travel until a few months before our wedding when I was thinking about what the future would be like. I realized that life was going to start changing, and that got me thinking about what would make Noelle and me happy. I also started thinking about the next few years after marriage and how kids would completely and quickly change our lives. This lead me to propose a trip to my soon-to-be wife and we quickly decided that this was something we wanted to do.  It was one of the bravest and best decisions of my life.

Besides travel, I enjoy photography, listening to a multitude of podcasts, and finding ways technology can make my life better.
